Performance Lab. with interactive installation MICRO

We will have Performance Lab. with interactive installation MICRO for 3 days to explore and integrate improvisational score into performative state.

The Lab. is for experienced improvisational/Contact Improv. dance performers, limited number of 6-10.  All performers who participate Lab. are invited to perform at the event, MICRO in Kingston on Aug.13th and 14th.

The Lab. will emerge from: 
● Exploring how the sense of touch affects our bodies and minds. 
● Using kinesthetic awareness as a conversation to explore the connection between bodies and interactive installation MICRO. 
● Engaging sensorially with Installation MICRO as a way of creating choreographic structure and exchanging ideas. 
● Integrating improvisational score into performative state as an individual and as a group.  
 

Lab.: Aug. 5th(Fri) 12pm to Aug. 7th(Sun) 3pm @ The barn at Saint Josen, Accord, NY

Performance: Aug. 13th, 14th/8pm @Kingston Historic water front

*We will build the installation MICRO on Aug.4th(Thur) at the barn, taking down/re-build at Kingston on Aug.12th(Fri). Let Kiori know if you can participate this process.

*The barn at Saint Josen will be sponsoring the Lab. Dance studio and camp ground in the beautiful forest will be provided. All participants will share the cost of meals(meal options to be determined).
